Workshop on “Spotlight Audiovisual Data”

We are pleased to announce the workshop “Spotlight Audiovisual Data: From Collection to Analysis in Digital Infrastructures”, organized by Josephine Diecke, Simon Spiegel, Philipp Brunner, and Martin Weiss. The workshop will take place on 14 April 2026 at PFA-00-422, Pfingstweidstrasse 60B, 8005 Zürich. It brings together researchers, librarians, and developers from the University of Zurich, the University Library, and the Digital Society Initiative to explore current approaches, strategies, and tools for managing and analyzing audiovisual (AV) data and collections.
The program includes:
- Two panels (in German) on preservation, management, digitization, and accessibility of AV collections
- A third panel (in English) focusing on tools and methods for analyzing digital AV materials
- Hands-on opportunities to explore platforms such as video annotation and multimodal analysis tools
- Networking opportunities, including a closing apéro
