Daniel Knuchel

Daniel Knuchel is a Senior Research Associate at the Department of German Studies, University of Zurich. His research lies at the intersection of digital linguistics and German Studies, exploring how digital methods from corpus linguistics can be combined with philological traditions in the field of Data Philology. He is further interested in postdigital writing cultures, examining how shifting writing practices reshape language ideologies, media ideologies, and notions of "good" writing — including questions of textual assemblage and the material-discursive conditions of contemporary text production in the era of AI.
